Privacy policy

You can play the installed Ready. Set. Santa! game offline without creating an account. This policy explains local saves, optional feedback, online updates, and support.

Progress and preferences on your device

The app saves campaign progress and your match-feedback preference on your device. We do not upload those save files to a game account or sync them between devices. Your device’s own backup settings may include app data. Deleting the app can remove local saves.

The browser version uses first-party cookies to remember campaign progress and your feedback preference. These are used to keep the game working, not for advertising. Clearing the site’s cookies resets the stored information.

Optional match feedback

Stars are available after a match. Nothing is submitted to our match-feedback service unless you tap a star. A submission includes the star rating, a random identifier for that match, game version and platform, campaign or practice mode, encounter and outcome, match duration, chosen fighters, and combat statistics such as health, damage, hits, moves, blocks, and jumps.

We use this feedback to understand difficulty and improve the game. Our ratings database does not contain your name, email, account, a persistent device identifier, IP address, or browser user agent. Feedback is private and is not published as a player review or leaderboard.

Match-feedback records are automatically removed from our active database after 90 days, with cleanup running at startup and approximately once per minute while the service is running. Changing a rating does not extend its retention. You can skip the stars or turn off Settings → Show optional match ratings. Turning the setting off stops new submissions; it does not identify or erase past submissions. Because we do not associate votes with a player account, we may be unable to locate a particular person’s past votes.

Online updates and technical requests

The app uses Expo’s EAS Update service to check for and download game updates. Checks can happen when the app opens or when you choose Check for updates. These requests include the platform, app runtime and update identifiers, a persistent randomly generated installation token, and, when applicable, information about failed updates or an update-related fatal error. The token is used by Expo to operate and measure update delivery; it is not included in our match-feedback payload.

Internet services necessarily receive connection information, including IP addresses, when processing requests. Our website and feedback API use Cloudflare for delivery and security. Expo and Cloudflare may process operational or security logs under their own policies. The 90-day match-feedback limit applies to our ratings records, not to independently managed service-provider logs. See Expo’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information or attachments you send. We use that information to answer your request and investigate the issue. Support email is hosted by Google’s Gmail service. We keep correspondence as needed to resolve and follow up on requests, or meet applicable obligations. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.

Advertising, purchases, and sharing

The game has no advertising, advertising identifiers, or cross-app advertising tracking. We do not sell player data or share it for targeted advertising. We use service providers to operate the game’s online features and handle support. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the security of the service.

App Store purchases and payment information are handled by Apple; Google Play purchases and payment information are handled by Google. The game does not ask for payment card details.

Families and your choices

Ready. Set. Santa! is a general-audience game that families may play. No personal profile, birth date, messaging, or chat is required. Match feedback is optional. Parents and guardians can disable it in Settings and contact us with questions about information they believe a child has provided.

You can play offline, disable optional match feedback, clear browser cookies, and contact us about access or deletion of information we can identify, such as support correspondence. Available privacy rights depend on your location. We may need enough information to verify and locate a request, and will explain when records cannot be associated with you.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. Material changes affecting choices will also be communicated as appropriate within the app.
